Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. Your scores and settings stay in your own browser.
Last updated: 8 November 2026.
What we store in your browser
BrainPopper uses your browser’s local storage — not cookies — to remember things on your device. Every key starts with brainpopper:v1::
settings— theme, sound on/off, motion preference, text labels, countdown and EchoStep pace.stats:…— personal best, number of rounds and the time of your last round for each game and mode.looploom:daily— your progress on up to the 90 most recent daily puzzles (tile positions, turns, hints, solved or revealed).looploom:intro— whether you’ve seen the Loop Loom introduction.
This data never leaves your device through BrainPopper. We don’t collect names, email addresses, locations or contacts, and share links contain only a date or a random public challenge code.
The site also installs a small service worker that keeps a copy of the site’s own pages, code and puzzle files so the games work offline. It caches nothing from other websites.
Clear your local progress
This removes every BrainPopper item from this browser — scores, settings and daily progress. It can’t be undone.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect the service. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Analytics
BrainPopper does not currently run any analytics script. Gameplay events stay inside the page and are not sent anywhere. If we later turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics (a cookie-free page-view and performance counter), we will update this section before doing so.
Advertising
There are no ads and no advertising partners. If that changes, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Children
BrainPopper is made for a general adult audience and isn’t directed at children.
Your rights and contact
Because we don’t receive personal data from gameplay, there’s normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete — you control everything with the button above or your browser’s site-data settings. For questions see the contact page.
