About BrainPopper
A small, independent collection of original browser games built for short breaks.
What it is
BrainPopper delivers clever, delightful, free browser games you can start instantly and finish before your break is over. At launch there are three: SwitchPop, Loop Loom and EchoStep. Each one was designed for this site, with original artwork drawn in code.
What it isn’t
- Not brain training. We don’t claim the games raise IQ, measure intelligence, improve memory or help with any health condition. They’re games.
- Not a leaderboard. Scores are self-reported and stay in your browser. There are no accounts and no verified rankings.
- Not aimed at children. The games are family-friendly, but the site is made for a general adult audience and isn’t designed as a school or children’s product.
How it’s built
The site is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare Pages. The games run entirely in your browser — once a page has loaded, it keeps working offline. Loop Loom’s daily boards are generated in advance and each one is checked by an independent solver to make sure it has exactly one solution.
Advertising
There is no advertising on BrainPopper today. If that ever changes, ads will never appear during play or next to game controls, and the privacy page will be updated first.
The names
“BrainPopper”, “SwitchPop”, “Loop Loom” and “EchoStep” are the working names of this project. They haven’t been through a formal trademark clearance.
